Description
This 2500W Backup Power system uses both an Input from the wall (AC) and a battery located in the battery box (DC) to power important appliances like sump pumps and fridges. The AC Input from the wall is used to charge the battery while the power is on. When the power is off, the battery is used to power the inverter and the things you plug in.
The battery comes separately. We install it here at BTW. The battery can change depending on what you plan to run it with. For fridges and sump pumps, a deep cycle battery is highly recommended to be installed due to it’s ability to withstand more discharges than a normal cranking battery. The battery is built to run longer periods of time then the short discharges of cranking batteries. If you would like this system in an enclosed space, an AGM battery is REQUIRED because they do not emit harmful gasses into the room like normal lead acid batteries do. In an outdoor space, accessible to any venting or any open space, a normal lead acid battery will do the trick.
